Are you a new birder and want to get out there to learn how to bird and ID? Are you an experienced birder that just wants to go out with some fellow birders? This is perfect for you! All experience levels are welcome to this program. Come view a sample of birds from all over Texas at the park, which features a bird blind and bird feeders.
Cost: The program is free with park admission ($5 for 13 and up, free 12 and under), and online reservations for day entry are recommended.
Where: Meet at the CCC Pavilion at 8:30 am. We will walk a short distance to the park birding area, and other walking may occur.
Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, water, and binoculars. Other birding equipment like cameras are welcome, but not required. If you are a new birder and don’t have binoculars yet, just let us know and we can have a pair set aside for you.
Bird calls, whistles, and playback will not be permitted for this program.
Social distancing is recommended. When/if social distancing is not feasible, masks are required
